30 DAYS OF YOGA

Hey loves! How are you doing? I’m so happy today, I’ve already been flooded with sooooooo many kind comments from all of you on my blog and I am so touched! REALLY, IT MEANS THE ABSOLUTE WORLD TO ME! Especially because I worked so incredibly hard , had so much going on personally , and had many moments of doubt. But the final result came out and I’m so happy you love the new look as much as I do.

30 DAYS OF YOGA! Wow I have rambled on and on about this for the past 3 and a half weeks or so. Once I started to feel physically better towards the end of the year, I got back to one of my favorite practices of yoga (I’ve done yoga roughly on and off for about 2 years now) and I love the practice. It could be slow, it could be intense but I think both have the same impact on you of being mindful and aware. Before the new year, I decided to challenge myself to 30 days of Yoga (yes that means everyday, no days off ) and see both the mental and physical change that was about to take place at the fresh start of the new year. I am so happy so many of you have joined me ( and it’s still not too late we’re only on day 3 and goes all the way up to the 31st of January) and so far it has been challenging but good!

This post is all about just giving you a basic introduction into what this challenge is all about and Yoga with Adriene (Youtube Yogi intstructor) is doing 31 days of revolution yoga, which is great for those who are just starting out and want to build up. Africa Yoga Project, is also fantastic! I know a lot of my readers aren’t from Kenya so for those of you currently in Nairobi listen up, Africa Yoga Project holds classes everyday with amazing morning classes, afternoon classes and evening classes (not to forget their new community classes everyday at 1pm run by donation) . I have loved going to their classes ever since I started and their staff is so INCREDIBLY FRIENDLY! I’ve already made so many friends by going and that makes me look forward to going to classes even more to see the friendly faces. So between the classes at Africa Yoga Project , Yoga with Adriene and an old yoga fitness video by Jilian Michaels called Yoga Meltdown ( you can find level 1 here) , I’ll be going with all three during the next 27 days. This is so exciting. What’s even more exciting is that I will do a “What I Eat In A Day” video on my Youtube channel and blog post to go along with it within the next week to show you what exactly I eat as I do this challenge and I will have a video and blog post at the end of the month with a full summary on how this experience was and would I do it again. That’s all for today. Are you challenging yourself to thirty days of yoga? Please let me know in the comments below!
