Hey loves! How are ya? Sorry for the day’s delay on posting, this week has been crazy since I just got back to Nairobi and so many errands to do, so many things to catch up on! I hope you’re week is going well and you are doing amazing. By the way, I recieved such a big amount of love from all of you, from all over the world and I am in awe. You all make me so happy and I’m so glad you loved the post. If you have not checked out my “changing lifestlye” post you can find it here. Today’s post is all about fashion week! Men’s fashion week began last week and every collection I watched, I absolutely loved! I chose my top collections but will have at the end of this post to all the shows I watched!

I love Vivianne Westwood! She’s known for playing around with prints, color and loves to break the rules! The very first thing I noticed about this collection was the shapes, I know weird , why shapes? When the very first model walked down the runway my eyes drew instantly to the shoulders and the shape of each blazer and how it compliments the whole demeanor of the message of playfulness yet stylish and modern in this collection. I am definitely not one to mix prints, and actually prints aren’t necessarily in my area but I love how the second look is paired! I think this collection will definitely appeal to the public because I think this year we all want to switch something up, especially our style. This collection gives us the boost for that! I can’t wait to see how this look is styled! The mix between two screams modern class to me! This look could be worn as a casual look and best believe everyone will have their eyes on you! Even though this is a men’s collection definitely has given me inspiration to some of my looks and I cannot to wait share them with you!

When I began to watch this show, the first thing on my mind was “damn I wish I was there in person” because the overall artistic approach to the show is what makes it one of my favorites. The show begins and it’s completely dark however you can see figures moving with a white illuminated light and you can hear the fast pace of the figures moving around, suddenly the rooms bright lights light up the room and the very first model walks down the runway. My very first thoughts of the pieces of this collection was galactic, futuristic inspired. I’m not sure if many of you have watched the film “Gattaca” by Andrew Nichols (amazing film with my fav actor Ethan Hawke), but I feel like there is such a correlation between the two and maybe it’s because they are both sci-fi futuristic films. This collections really plays around with shapes as well but everything is fitted, really complimenting the shape of the man’s body and giving him a certain edge that is quite attractive. Foils, greys, whites and blacks are all present throughout the collection which really gives off a nice clean cut feeling. I’m definitely feeling this collection!
FENDI A.W 16/17

Last but not least, Fendi. The reason why I chose this crazy collection was because I thought it was so different , so original and so cool. This entire collection screams “relaxed and chill” to me because it’s exactly that. All of the pieces are quite oversized and baggy giving it a really relaxed vibe which goes perfectly with winter. The pops of color are perfectly aligned with the dark tones in the pieces because it says something about the character of each piece. The first look is definitely a favorite because it’s so relaxed yet so chic. In this case, I don’t even think this collection would only apply to men because I’m so sure so many female fashion influencers (including myself) will be insipred by this collection.
As promised, below I have links to all of my favorite shows!
